FPS live webinars are created for individuals and organizations who seek to grow professionally and stay current and compliant in the world of government contracting. ACCREDITATION

Many of our live webinars are accredited for CLE and CPE. In order to apply for accreditation, you must watch the "live" version of the webinar, as we do not provide accreditation for webinars that are viewed on-demand.

Understanding Overhead in Government Contracts
October 25, 1 - 2 pm ET - Understanding Overhead in Government Contracts In order to maximize cost recovery, government contractors must have a working understanding of the concept of overhead in application to cost estimating/pricing, as well as cost accounting during contract performance. This webinar will help accountants and non-accountants form a basic understanding of:  Regulations which differentiate direct versus indirect (overhead) costs  Accounting for overhead costs (indirect pools)  Accounting for overhead cost recovery (indirect cost allocation bases)  Consistency in cost estimating and cost accounting  Forecasting overhead costs including basic concepts of variable, semi-variable and fixed overhead expenses  Invoicing/billing overhead on certain types of government contracts. This live webinar is eligible for CPE credit. NOTE: CPE/CLE credit for attendees are subject to participation and approval by the governing boards. Bio: Michael (Mike) Steen is a senior director with Redstone Government Consulting, Inc., based in Huntsville, Alabama. He provides Government Contract Consulting services primarily related to cost accounting, financial compliance and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) audit expectations. Prior to joining Redstone Government Consulting, Mike served in a number of capacities with DCAA for more than 30 years. Upon his retirement from the agency, Mike was one of the top seven senior executives with DCAA.
