As the impacts of the coronavirus ripple through the federal contracting community, contractors of all sizes and types are understandably concerned about weathering the storm.  In this interactive discussion, veteran government contracts and global trade attorneys from McCarter & English will advise contractors on the range of available remedies in the face of work stoppages, telework demands, supply chain interruptions, and other challenges to meeting performance obligations.

Moreover, McCarter & English attorneys will discuss the rapidly developing and expanding fast track contracting methods now being utilized by agencies, the impact and ramifications of the invocation of the Defense Production Act, and the business opportunities available in this era of unprecedented federal spending and future recovery efforts.  This webinar will include a robust discussion of critical contract clauses, strategic internal and external communication plans, the impact of tariffs, border and travel restrictions on supply chains and logistics, and new vectors for business development.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By the end of this session, students will be prepared to identify the necessary requirements required to justify an excusable delay, understand the impact of the current crisis on rated versus non-rated orders, and how to prepare for such orders.  Students will also understand the impact of remote work on contractual cybersecurity requirements and the processing of various government filings at DSCA, DDTC, BIS and OFAC.
