Cost accounting practices are the foundation for cost-based acquisition – for both contract pricing and contract accounting. But what is a cost accounting practice? Do Government contract cost accounting practices differ from financial accounting practices. What if my contract has not triggered Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), what are the ramifications for non-CAS covered contracts? So many questions to unpack. This 1st webinar will start with the basics and establish the foundation for this 4-part web series. We’ll define cost accounting practices and discuss key requirements for CAS and non-CAS covered contracts.

Learning Objectives: By the end of this session, participants will be able to define and identify cost accounting practices and ascertain differences between financial and Government contract accounting practices.
