This is session 4 of 4 in the Unpacking Cost Accounting Practices series.

You’ve quantified the change, now it’s time for customer inspection and settlement. Learn the fundamental audit and administration expectations when addressing changes to cost accounting practices. We’ll discuss company and customer responsibilities to include ramifications for CAS and non-CAS covered contracts. Additionally, typical audit and analysis characteristics, settlement alternatives and prime contractor/subcontractor responsibilities will be considered.

Learning Objectives: In this session, participants will become familiar with common audits and analysis used when supporting cost accounting practice changes. They will learn the audit triggers and key characteristics associated with typical practice change audits and analysis. Finally, participants should be able to identify conventional audit risks and readiness strategies to help mitigate audit risks.
