CPE, CLE Accredited
This is session 3 of 3 in The Future of CAS Series 2025

Effective October 14, 2025, some of the first changes involving CAS to GAAP convergence will be implemented.  Specifically adopting the GAAP operating revenue definition and ASC 842 lease accounting terminology.  After discussing the implications of the new regulation on a contractor’s cost accounting practices, we’ll consider CAS Board open cases on asset accounting (CAS 404/409), paid time off (CAS 408), and material and inventory accounting (CAS  411).  Furthering the convergence, we’ll look at other measurement and assignment standards to include standard costing (CAS 407), deferred compensation (CAS 415), and accounting for insurance costs (CAS 416)
