As a government contractor, you may encounter varied types of contract audits. DCAA is the largest contract audit agency in the Federal Government. The scope of DCAA’s audits cover the entire contracting life cycle. This webinar series explores DCAA audits both prior to contract award, as well as during and after contract performance. Presented from the point of view of a government contractor, our goal is to help you understand DCAA’s audit objectives, techniques, and areas of audit emphasis. As part of our presentation, you will learn best practices to prepare for and support various types of DCAA audits. 

The first session covers estimating contract costs for a forward pricing proposal. We will identify DCAA’s audit objectives, the standard audit program and typical issues that arise during these audits.

The second session is about Accounting Systems. We will explore the criteria DCAA uses to evaluate the adequacy of accounting systems for government contract cost accumulation and reporting.

The third session addresses incurred cost audits. We will discuss some tips for getting ready for the audit, and for managing these audits.

In the fourth session, we will explain CAS cost impact proposals and DCAA’s audit approach. Our focus is on how to best prepare for these audits.
