Government procurement professionals wishing to earn a master's degree will now be able to get a significant jumpstart through the completion of FPS classroom courses.

Serving and Leading Communities
The public administration program helps working professionals gain the knowledge and skills needed to not only help advance their careers but also make a greater difference in the communities they serve. The MPA program helps develop leadership characteristics driven by fundamental public administration values, including those that are at the core of Norwich’s history and tradition. The academic concentration available for the Federal Publications Seminar partnership is Fiscal Management.

The Master of Public Administration program provides public service professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to respond strategically and nimbly to the needs of their communities, and to lead their organizations during both times of uncertainty and prosperity. Students graduate with a greater confidence in their abilities to manage change, manage budgets, and manage employees and constituents.

MPA Concentration

The academic concentration available to the Federal Publications Seminars partnership is fiscal management. Upon review of coursework completed at FPS, students may receive up to 6 transfer credits toward completion of the MPA program.

Get College Credit for Completing an FPS Certificate Program
Students who successfully complete one of two FPS certificate programs - the FPS Federal Government Acquisition and Contract Management Certificate program or the FPS Government Contract Accounting Certificate program - may receive up to 6 transfer credits toward completion of the MPA program.

Credits Needed to Complete the Master of Public Administration Program
The program’s six courses (each six credits) take approximately 18 months to complete. Depending on when you start the program, you can expect your degree to be conferred in 18 to 24 months.

Students in Norwich’s Master of Public Administration (MPA) program first complete the core course(s) to gain a foundational understanding of public administration. Following completion of the core courses, they may enroll in the fiscal management concentration.
