Overview
Owners have been pushing for general contractors to enter into “at-risk” contracts more frequently. Despite the contractor being at-risk, you might be surprised to hear who is actually at risk.  

The instructor will discuss ways your organization can better manage at-risk contracts and analyze sub-contractors/vendors as well as offer practice tips on ways to manage your construction budget through process enhancements and audit techniques.

Project Controls

  • Segregation of duties; practical suggestions to alleviate commonly identified issues

Auditing Construction Costs & Ongoing Monitoring
  • Establishing criteria to evaluate multiple construction projects (which projects are higher risk than others)

  • Learn how to audit construction projects and oversight that can be performed during each phase of construction

    Workshops and class discussions cover specific subject matter in-depth, and participation is strongly encouraged. Attendees should have at least 2-3 years' experience in the area of study.

    Courses build upon students' knowledge and experience, and cover complex issues within the subject matter. Should have 4-5 years' mastery of subject for in-depth analysis.
  • 500
    Masters-level programs designed for professionals with 5+ years' experience. Courses cover in-depth and technical analysis on specific subjects and updates on current issues.
