Overview
The primary purposes of the Contractor Financial Managers' Forum are threefold:

1.  To equip mid- to higher-level higher level finance professionals who have to make informed decisions about business strategies as a critical partner on the management team.

2.  To review, update, and look ahead at the business of government contracting.

3.  To provide sources of information to finance professionals on how to keep current and stay on top of new developments in government contracting

These are the purposes of the Forum, but its underlying theme is to recognize that the financial professional's role has transformed from reliable, authoritative analyst to active strategist in the organization.

To move from defining the status of the business to defining the business in the marketplace demands a broader industry perspective. The details are spelled out in the Forum outline – an update and analysis of contracting in an era of austerity, an examination of the business of government contracting, and the potential opportunities.

We don’t claim to have all of the answers in this new dynamic, competitive environment but we are confident that a greater knowledge of the business is an essential ingredient in contributing to the strategic direction and success of the organization.
