  • CLP: Continuous Learning Points
    Defense Acquisition Workforce members must acquire 80 Continuous Learning Points (CLP) every two years from the  date of entry into the acquisition workforce for as long as  the member remains in an acquisition position per DoD Instruction 5000.66. We will provide you with documentation  of points awarded for completing the event.

FPS has partnered with Credly to offer you a digital version of your credentials. This digital version takes the form of a digital badge. This verified image allows you to manage and share your credentials and achievements online in a simple, trusted way and can be verified in real-time.

  • What is a Digital Badge?

    A digital badge is an image that contains verified metadata to describe your qualifications and the process required to earn them. It is a digital representation of a learning outcome or competency. FPS Digital Badges can be shared and verified online easily and securely via Credly Acclaim Digital Badges link to metadata that provides context and verification. They can be shared across the Internet for maximum visibility and recognition. 

  • How Do I Earn a Badge?

    You can earn a badge by completing select FPS courses or an FPS Certificate program. The following courses are eligible for digital badging.

    FPS will issue badges for those who complete these courses, whether taken in the classroom or virtually. Badges will only be issued for courses that were taken beginning May 8, 2023. Unfortunately, FPS will not issue badges for courses taken before May 8, 2023.

  • How Do I Accept and Manage My Digital Badge?

    You will receive an email from Federal Publications Seminars via Credly, notifying you that you have earned a badge. Follow the instructions in that email to accept and manage your digital badge. Here's a short video with more information:

  • Where Can I See My Badge?
    FPS is partnering with credentialing vendor Credly to issue badges. Upon completion of an FPS course that is currently "eligible for digital badging", you will be issued a badge and will be invited to claim it via an email from "Federal Publications Seminars via Credly." Once you do so, you’ll create a Credly profile, and you can access and view your badge on your Credly profile page. 

    Additionally, you can share the badge on social media, display it on your LinkedIn profile, and download or embed the badge to use in other locations such as on a personal website or within your company platforms.

  • Privacy Notice for Digital Credentialing
    Federal Publications Seminars (FPS) leverages the services of Credly, a 3rd party data processor authorized by FPS and located in the United States, to assist in the administration of the FPS Digital Credentialing program. In order to issue you an FPS Digital Badge, your personal information (such as name, email address, location, and digital badge earned) will be shared with Credly. You will receive an email notification from "Federal Publications Seminars via Credly" with instructions on how to claim the digital badge. Your personal information is used to issue your digital badge and for program reporting and operational purposes. It will be handled in a manner consistent with FPS privacy practices. 

    Please note that to use Credly’s services, you will need to sign up and create an account with Credly, and in doing so, you will be asked to agree to Credly’s privacy policy and terms of use which will apply to your use of Credly’s website. Visit credly.com/privacy to view Credly’s privacy policy or email privacy@credly.com. The privacy policy describes how Credly treats the information you and FPS share with them. Credly’s privacy policy also describes how to exercise data subject rights.

    In September 2023, FPS announced a significant milestone in its commitment to advancing the contract management profession.

    As a skilled profession, contract management has developed complex terminology over many years. Now NCMA's common language is aligning this terminology and early adopters are elevating the future of the profession.

    As contract management professionals, we are used to being told we speak a different language. The truth is that within our language, subdialects vary by industry, agency, and even within the same organization. This is a challenge for buyers and sellers who need to communicate clearly and for professionals seeking to define their skill sets. 

    Despite the seeming language barrier, there is a common language for contract management that is gaining momentum. NCMA’s American National Standards Institute (ANSI) (1) -approved Contract Management Standard™ (CMS™) and NCMA’s Contract Management Body of Knowledge (CMBOK®) define the guiding principles, domains, phases, competencies, and processes of our day-to-day work and give us all common terminology to describe what we do. 

    Early Adopters 
    Several pioneering organizations have done the early work of adopting the common language by aligning their hiring, training, curriculum, or service offerings to the CMS™ and CMBOK® and signing a memorandum of understanding with NCMA to formalize and publicize this commitment.
