This course will provide students with guidance and insights into what drives the decision-making processes of stakeholders, both pre-award and during the negotiations of a government contract.
Cost and Price Analysis in Government Contracts
Effective, immediate actionable information on contract pricing techniques for contractor and government personnel involved in contract or subcontract pricing.
Developing Cost and Price Proposals
Responding to a government RFP requires a significant amount of time and resources. This course is designed to give participants the foundation necessary to create comprehensive and competitive pricing bids for government contracts. Becoming an expert at responding to government procurements can take many years. This course, however, provides the basis to reduce the learning curve dramatically.
Developing Statements of Work Workshop for Contractors and Agencies
This course will cover all aspects of statements of work that concern government contractors.
Forward Pricing Rate Agreements (FPRA)
This course is a Pre-Award course as it is an agreement between DCAA and the contractors to allow for agreed-upon (Certified Pricing) pricing of certain products/services across multiple contracts held by the contractor. This becomes an efficiency for contractors and DCAA in the audit pricing function, as it expedites certified pricing approvals.
Managing Profitability on Government Contracts
This course offers an in-depth exploration of the profitability opportunities available in federal contract awards. We will cover key topics such as pricing structures, types of contracts, payment clauses, and limitations on profit, providing a high-level overview of each. The course will also address the impact of negotiation strategies on profitability and the importance of accurate internal cost estimating.
Negotiating Skills for Government Contractors
Negotiations are important to winning government contracts - and to win it so as both sides have a mutual benefit and a good working relationship after the award. This course covers the specifics of negotiating contracts and subcontract provisions, prices and claims including teaming agreements, subcontract agreements, new/contingent hiring, and terms & conditions. During this 1-day course, you will learn the when and why to negotiate as well as basic concepts. You will learn what can be negotiated and the key steps to planning, so that everyone understands the objectives to the negotiations.

Subcontract Price Analysis
Subcontract Price Analysis, will provide insight into the processes associated with conducting price analyses and discuss tools and techniques that can be used when conducting such analyses.
