Supply Chain Management and Cybersecurity Updates - Session 3 - Fundamentals of Cybersecurity and Regulatory Updates Series 2024
Fundamentals of Cybersecurity and Regulatory Updates Webinar Series - 2024
In this session, we will identify how to ensure that good cybersecurity hygiene flows through a contractor's supply chain. We will discuss the Defense Contract Management Agency's (DCMA) mandate to examine contractor compliance with cybersecurity requirements as part of its Contractor Purchasing System Reviews (CPSR) and its implications for contractors in the near future. At the end of the session, we will discuss the pair of Proposed Rules issued in October 2023 (addressing "Cyber Threat and Incident Reporting and Information Sharing" and "Standardizing Cybersecurity Requirements for Unclassified Federal Information Systems"), and will explore the implications of those Proposed Rules for contractors. Learning Objectives: By the end of this session, students will understand how to ensure cybersecurity hygiene in their supply chain, and be prepared to proactively address their purchasing procedures in anticipation of DCMA reviews. Students will also gain insight as to the likely next developments in and implications of Federal cybersecurity initiatives, particularly as they relate to non-DoD agencies.

Innovations in Govt Contracts - Automating Subcontract Compliance - The CPSR ProDocs Way
It can't be argued that adequate and complete document is one of the cornerstones of compliance in Government contracting and subcontracting. Documentation associated with the subcontracting/procurement process can be generated by various sources and address numerous compliance related topics. It is ultimately the responsibility of the Subcontracting/Procurement function to ensure that all required documentation associated with audits and compliance reviews is accomplished in a timely and accurate manner. While Subcontracting/Procurement organizations are concerned about compliance with laws, regulations, and prime contracts requirements, their senior leaderships are often focused on driving cost efficiencies across the enterprise. So, how can an organization not only streamline the creating of compliant documentation, but also automate the entire Subcontract/Procurement compliance process? This interactive session will explore how high-performance organizations utilize CPSR ProDocs Powered by JA White to automate tasks associated with processing of Subcontracts/Procurement compliance related forms, templates, models, checklists, and related tools with game-changing results. During this session, attendees will be able to experience an interactive demonstration of this compliance platform while witnessing, in real time, the power and accuracy of procurement compliance automation.

  • I liked how the instructor could relate stories from experience to the topics he discussed. It helped with the clarification of the material he presented. He is very good at "teaching." I would recommend this class.
    —Jill, Senior Contract Manager

  • Federal Publications offerings are some of the best I have ever attended. I attended my first in DC, the Basics of Government Contracting, back in the early 1990s. Fond memories!
