The International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is a set of U.S. government regulations on the export and import of defense related articles and services. If your organization is doing business with the U.S. Dept. of Defense, or (one of its) prime contractors, you need to be compliant with the ITAR. Join subject matter experts Karen McGee and Linda Weinberg for 3 days of instruction.

The two courses offered during this ITAR Workshop are designed to give you a solid, practical understanding of the ITAR, so that you can comply with the complex requirements and avoid pitfalls by anticipating and resolving potential problems. Day 3 provides a forum for an extensive, incisive analysis of critical issues confronting exporters of defense articles in a dynamic, changing exporting environment.

Both courses will be taught Karen McGee and Linda Weinberg, Partners in the Washington, DC office of Barnes & Thornburg and highly regarded experts in the field.

Generally both courses are taken to complete the ITAR Workshop, but you can also just purchase one of the courses. If you purchase the ITAR Workshop (includes both courses) the cost is $1,895, a savings of $300 off the retail price for the two courses.

BASIC ITAR
This course will help you understand the U.S. laws and Federal agencies that regulate the export of hardware and technology from the U.S. Attendees will gain an understanding of how these regulations impact your ability to do business in the international marketplace.

ADVANCED ITAR
This one-day, advanced seminar is designed for export compliance officers and ITAR “empowered officials,” international contracting specialists, contract managers and administrators, program and project managers, marketing professionals, legal advisors, and others involved in the international defense marketplace and ITAR compliance.
