This is session 4 of 4 in the Ethics and Compliance - Government Contracts Webinar Series 2025
This session will examine the consequences of non-compliance, with a particular focus on the False Claims Act (FCA). Attendees will receive an overview of the FCA’s background, scope, and enforcement mechanisms. The session will explore the potential legal and financial repercussions contractors may face for violations of applicable laws and regulations. The panelists will discuss key FCA court decisions, along with current enforcement trends and emerging areas of regulatory focus.

Zach Prince’s practice encompasses all areas of government contract law. Dan Ramish’s practice encompasses all aspects of government contracts, grants, and construction law, with particular focus on claims and disputes, cost accounting, intellectual property, cybersecurity, supply chain, and small business issues. Mr. Ramish is a frequent writer and speaker on government contracts and grants and assistance agreements. He is a co-author, with Jonathan Shaffer, of Federal Grant Practice (Thomson Reuters). Prior to going into private practice, Mr. Ramish was in-house government contracts counsel for an environmental remediation and military munitions response contractor. Before that he was a Contract Specialist at the U.S. General Services Administration, administering Federal Supply Schedule contracts for the Office of IT Acquisition (former Schedule 70).

Tom Reynolds is a Partner in HKA’s Government Contracts Practice in Washington, D.C. Tom is a forensic accountant and CPA with 20 years of experience helping government contractors navigate the complex government contracting compliance rules and regulations. Tom has provided government contract accounting, auditing and advisory support to government contractors across numerous industries, including aerospace and defense, manufacturing, healthcare, construction, engineering, and professional services. Tom has presented contractors’ positions and facilitated negotiations with contracting officers, DCAA, DCMA, and other regulatory bodies.
