Learning Objectives:
This course will walk attendees through the process of building or improving an export compliance program. The course will be appropriate both for experienced export compliance professionals as well as those new to the world of export compliance. Highlights of what the course will cover include an overview of the elements of an export compliance program, identification of key stakeholders to involve in the process, determining appropriate scope and level of detail and launching the compliance program. The program will then delve into updating the compliance program and developing and implementing an audit plan to test the compliance program. Finally, the agenda will proceed to examine best practices when discovering a breach of the compliance program. This practical course will be taught in an interactive and collaborative style. As there are no one-size-fits-all export compliance programs, this course will focus on giving attendees the tools they need to craft compliance programs that are tailored to their companies' needs.
