This video provides basic teaching points about how to make, what content to include, and other important considerations in voluntary disclosures to the U.S. Government following the discovery of potential export control infractions.

This video focuses on disclosures made to the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls of the US State Department and Bureau of Industry & Security of the US Commerce Department. Following this overview, the presentation discusses how ongoing export control reform may change the calculus in submitting voluntary disclosures, including issues to evaluate regarding factual circumstances, corrective actions and remedial measures, and mitigating factors, as well as whether a dual disclosure to both agencies is warranted.
This program will discuss:
• Voluntary Disclosures
• Guidance when a Violation is Identified
• Internal Investigations
• Violation Reporting  - Implications and Risks
• Mitigating Factors
• Corrective Actions
• Enforcement by BIS and DDTC
