Foundations of the FAR
This session of the Fundamentals of the FAR program will cover Parts 12 and 16 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. Steven Tomanelli, instructor of the FAR Workshop for Federal Publications Seminars and author of the Annotated FAR, FAR Desk Reference and DFARs Desk Reference, will cover the acquisition of commercial items (Part 12) and discuss the use of commercial item as preference by the government. Mr. Tomanelli will also discuss Types of Contracts (Part 16) - Fixed-Price; Cost-Reimbursement; Incentive; Indefinite-Delivery; Time and Materials, Labor-Hour, and Letter Contracts; and Agreements. Upon completion, you will have a better understanding of the FAR and its impact to both government contractors and government procurement professionals. CPE/CLE credit for attendees are subject to participation and approval by the governing boards.
